Q: How much time should a Team Members expect to spend managing a chapter?
Community Ambassadors spend approximately 1 hour a week supporting their local chapter. Community Leaders, who are essentially Ambassadors who are capable of dedicating a bit more time, spend somewhere between 2 and 3 hours a week for an 12 month term.

Q: How many Team Members are needed per chapter?
A fully operational chapter typically has 3 - 6 Community Leaders. The number of Ambassadors varies depending on the size of the chapter and programming needs. We've seen anywhere between 5 and 30 Ambassadors lead a chapter.

Q: How many events is expected out of each chapter?
YPC programming is segmented into 4 categories: 1. Social, 2. Professional Development, 3. Community Impact, and 4. Health and Wellness. At minimum, each chapter is responsible for hosting a monthly happy hour (Social), and a Community Impact event; events that are already templated out for you. Once fully operational, and capacity allows, Professional Development and Health & Wellness events will roll out based on local demand.
Q: How long until I hear from you after I apply and what should I expect next?
HQ is composed of a pretty small team, but we should be able to reach back out within a couple of weeks. If your initial application seems like a good fit, we'd typically schedule a Google Meet or time to meet in person at an upcoming happy hour event, to learn a bit more about you and your passion/interest in community building.

Q: I see that YPC programming is guided by quarterly impact issues and history/heritage months. How does that all work?
We announce our quarterly impact issues and history/heritage month guidelines at least 6 months ahead of time giving local Team Members plenty of time to integrate the most relevant partners into local annual programming.

Q: I live pretty far away from current YPC cities can I still join the team?
While it makes the most sense for Community Leaders or Ambassadors to be located in or near cities we're currently operating in, in this new virtual world, it sometimes makes sense for team members to lead from afar. Further, we're always interested in expanding into new cities. You can find more information here, if you're interested in bringing YPC closer to you.
